Are You Uploading or Linking in Blackboard?

Aloha Faculty!

Are you planning on adding content to your blackboard course?
Please follow the steps below to ensure proper access and copyright clearance first.

Uploading  = You Need Copyright Clearance

Linking = No Need for Copyright Clearance

UPLOADING: Any material that is uploaded as a file (PDF, JPEG, MP3, etc.), must have copyright clearance. If you find a PDF copy on the open web or in a Library database and you cannot link to it, you must obtain copyright clearance in order to upload a copy to Blackboard (click here or tab above for instructions).

LINKING: If the material can be linked to directly on the open web or through a library database then copyright clearance is not required. If you can link to a document, you should link to it. Links to library articles need a special url added to the beginning (click here or on the tab above).
