The Library purchases at least one copy of each required textbook, per course section, per increment of 25 students to place on reserve. The library does not purchase/distribute the online access codes that may accompany a textbook or physical items, such as clickers, first aid kits, etc.
Additionally, you may request DVDs and other supplemental materials to be placed on reserve for your course.
You may also request us to investigate the availability of an ebook version of a book for student use. We are not able to acquire true textbooks (Cengage, Pearson, etc.), but we can usually acquire academic publisher imprints.
Textbooks circulate for two hours; DVDs circulate for three hours.
Materials remain on course reserve indefinitely, until a new edition arrives or a different text is selected for use.
Course reserves also houses a variety of graduate test preparation study guides, such as MCAT, LSAT, GRE, MCAT, etc. A variety of online test preparation guides are also available through the library database Testing & Education Reference Center (TERC)
