Mergent Online
Search for the company by name and review the information in the landing page, financials, reports--look for the 10K. Search the 10K report by keyword, such as supply, demand, customer or consumer, risk, regulations, etc.
Also look at the news and you will want to look at competitors if you are researching comparative advantages/disadvantages.
Note the NAICS number (not the SIC) for IBISWorld searching.
Note the company website URL to search later.

This is for industry information and where you will search by NAICS. If the NAICS returns unexpected results, search by industry names (from Mergent).
Click Industry at the top to view US, China, and Global reports.
Look at both the Industry report and the iExpert report (this is for US reports only).

ProQuest One Business
Search for company information (reports), industry report (trends, risk factors, financial data, and forecasts) and Country Reports (profiles, economic indicators and business risk factors).

There are also SWOT analyses here if your company was not included in Business Insights or Business Source Complete above.

Company or Corporate Website

Use the corporate website URL you found in Mergent. Look for the section intended for investors or investment. Sometimes it will be at the top of the web page; often it is at the bottom of the web page. The company website may have more specific or newer analysis than the 10K reports found in Mergent or in the other resources you already checked. Corporate websites frequently include reports on social responsibility, sustainability and other specialized topics.
